'Embed code' allows you to add content from third-party websites, such as videos on YouTube or Cincopa photo galleries.
Step-by-step instructions
There are two different procedures for this, depending on whether your website has our newer content editor or not. The newer editor has only two monochrome toolbars
If you see three toolbar rows of small, colourful icons above the editor in the 'page content' panel you have the older editor - please scroll down to see the instructions for this version:
Newer editor instructions
- Click to place your cursor where you want to add the embedded content.
- Type some placeholder text that you will be able to easily spot in amongst the HTML code, e.g. "zzzzzzzzzzzzzz".
- From the editor 'Tools' menu choose the 'Source code' option.
- Find the placeholder text you just typed in (i.e. "zzzzzzzzzzzzzz", or whatever you used instead), and replace it with the embed code you got from the third-party website, then click the 'OK' button.
Older editor instructions
